Question 1

What does the dispatch board check?

Accepted Answer

Seats against the passenger count, document and license expiry dates, P endorsements and drivers' hours. When something is not available, the board tells you why.

Question 2

Can a vehicle be double booked?

Accepted Answer

No. A vehicle, driver or piece of equipment that is already assigned or blocked for maintenance cannot be assigned to another trip at the same time.

Question 3

Can one trip have several vehicles and drivers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Assign as many vehicles and drivers as the trip needs, each checked on its own.

Question 4

Do drivers get the itinerary?

Accepted Answer

Itineraries generate as PDFs from the same trip the customer approved, so the driver's copy matches what was sold.

Question 5

Does dispatch replace ELDs or maintenance software?

Accepted Answer

No. Charter Route uses the hours, documents and maintenance blocks you record to check assignments; electronic logging devices and full maintenance systems stay separate.
