How far ahead should I book a group charter?

For prom, graduation and wedding weekends in spring and Friday or Saturday nights in December, as soon as the date is fixed. For quiet weekdays, a few weeks is usually enough.

What size vehicle do I need?

Count every passenger and allow for luggage. Vans carry about 10 to 14, mini-coaches 25 to 35, and motorcoaches 50 to 56; confirm the exact seat count with the operator.

How do I check a charter company?

For interstate trips, look up the company's USDOT number, operating status and insurance on FMCSA's company snapshot, and ask for a certificate of insurance for large events.

Is gratuity included in a charter quote?

It depends on the operator. Check whether the quote includes gratuity or expects it on top, so you do not pay it twice.
